A Pledge to do Better
Over the last few years I have not been very diligent about posting here. I've always had good intentions, but the follow through has been lacking. I started a weekly email newsletter last year and that took some time to get used to doing.
This year I pledge to be more consistent with my blog. I will maintain the email newsletter while planning to post here 2-4 times per month.
Why do both you may ask. Well, I see a difference in the purpose of the two. My email newsletter is meant to be a short recap of the events of the past week and a preview of the events coming up soon. And, of course, with a few pictures sprinkled in. I intend for the blog to be less frequent, but consistent, and to cover a single theme or event in more depth as well as contain more of my personal thoughts and observations. In other words, the blog will be more like an editorial or opinion piece while the newsletter is more like a reporting story. I will include pictures in both.
Because the fall high school sports season starts on Monday, I thought I would include a few of my favorite photos from last fall in this kickoff (pun intended) blog post. Please look for future posts here approximately every 7-14 days. If you would like to subscribe to my weekly email newsletter (it's free!) click here.
